During the construction of this car, Austin Hatcher (Hatch) was born to Jim and Amy Jo Osborn, team principles of Chili Pepper Racing. Hatch acquired cancer at the age of 8 weeks and passed away at the age of 11 weeks. Proceeds from the sale were donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. The Foundations mission is to empower families affected by pediatric cancer. The Austin Hatcher Foundation is the official charity of the American LeMans Series, Ford Racing Mustang Challenge Series, the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour and Road Atlanta.
