A seven-year, frame-on restoration, this car has been upgraded with a D500 solid-lifter original motor that was completely rebuilt. An Edelbrock Tri-Power intake manifold featuring Rochester2GC carburetors with progressive linkage was added. An air-ride system, incorporating an Air Ride Technologies system and Firestone bags, was installed to improve the handling and stance. The original two-speed push-button transmission and rear end were retained. The car was painted the original factory tri-tone colors with black-and-white interior. It rides on whitewall radial tires with steel wheels and custom hubcaps. All medallions are quality reproductions and badges were replaced in gold as original. All chrome was redone and the stainless was polished. All the original gauges – including the speedometer, amp meter, gas and temperature gauges – were kept and work. The heater, two-speed wipers and Wonder Bar radio all work as well. Restoration was completed in 2012 and it has been driven approximately 3,000 miles since then. It has primarily been shown in the Pacific Northwest, where it won many awards, a few Best of Shows, a Goodguys pick at Spokane 2013 Great Northwest Nationals and an award at Goodguys Pacific Northwest Nationals in Puyallup in 2014. Awards not included with car.
